Upstairs from the reception we can access the area where the old mill was located - where remains the fully res-tored watermill, an important witness to the mechanization of the processes associated with agricultural activities – as well as several areas related the story of Luís de Albuquerque life in Terra de Vera Cruz. Artifacts, writings and maps related to his trip and stay in Brazil, as well as the inevitable consequences to the story of the house, help us reconstruct an important political, social, cultural, scientific and philosophical path.
With indigenous hunting weapons, coats of arms, detailed topographic research and several images of Ínsua throughout its evolution, this family area gives us the portrait of an impor-tant period in terms of knowledge, and crucial to the intersection of different yet very rich cultures.
